May be filling multiple positions in our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Progressive Care Unit (long-term unit for patients dependent on ventilation through a tracheostomy). This is a one-year position and will be eligible for benefits. Schedule will be five eight-hour days per week, including one weekend shift each week. Position begins July 16, 2018. Child Life internship must be completed prior to fellowship start date.

The CLS Fellow practices at the level of novice child life specialist, providing routine child life services with routine instruction and guidance. The CLS Fellow supports patients and family members of patients with complex medical and psychosocial needs, while managing resources and supporting volunteers. The CLS Fellow will receive direct and formal clinical supervision from a Certified Child Life Specialist with a minimum of 4000 hours of clinical experience. CLS fellow is a one year commitment and requires active participation in designated training structure to enhance clinical, professional and evidence based practice skillset.
Required Education: Bachelors Degree in Child Development, Child Life, Psychology, Therapeutic Recreation or closely related field.
Preferred Education: Master’s degree in Child Development, Child Life, Psychology, Therapeutic Recreation or closely related field.
Preferred Experience: Completion of Child Life Internship
Preferred Licenses/certificates/registrations: Child Life Certification (CCLS), Therapeutic Recreation or eligibility.
