The Supervisor of Child Life provides clinical leadership of patient care services, education and direct supervision of Child Life Specialists and Child Life Assistants to ensure consistent provision of developmentally appropriate quality patient care.
-Bachelor's degree in Child Life, Therapeutic Recreation or a closely related field (REQUIRED)
-Master's Degree in Child Life, Therapeutic Recreation or a closely related field (PREFERRED)
-3 years Child Life experience (REQUIRED)
-2 years demonstrating leadership and mentoring in Child Life or a closely related field (REQUIRED)
(Totaling 5 years)
-Current certification as a Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) by the Child Life Certifying Commission (CLCC) (REQUIRED)
-Current certification as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) through the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC) (PREFERRED)
-Current BLS certification for Healthcare provider form the American Heart Association (REQUIRED)
