As part of a multi-disciplinary health care team, conducts activities which focus on the emotional and developmental needs of children and families using play and other forms of communication and education; Assesses and recommends programs and policies that will provide a safe, therapeutic and age-appropriate pediatric environment.
Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Child Life, Child Development or related field. Must have completed all clinical child life work hours in an acute care hospital.
Licensing/Certification Requirements: Obtain Certification as a Child Life Specialist within 2 months of hire. Basic Life support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
