We currently have a part-time opportunity available for a Child Life Specialist to work with our specialty populations within our clinic, inpatient units and surgery area.
Requires a Bachelor's degree, previous experience working with hospitalized and healthy children, Child Life certificate, or proof of eligibility, as well as current CPR certification. A background in Child Development, Child Life, Psychology or a similar field is required. Previous experience working with burn patients and bilingual in English/Spanish preferred. Candidate must have the ability to implement therapeutic play activities for individuals and groups. Ability to assess patient behaviors, knowledge of growth and development and children's reactions to hospitalization and illness/injury, and the ability to implement appropriate interventions and coping strategies are a must. Hours and days will vary and include weekends.

The pay range for this position is $35.50 – $52.00 per hour. Compensation is determined based on relevant experience and department equity.
